Recent work

  1. A door for a courtyard house

Teak, hand-carved panels and brass studs. Six weeks on the bench.

  2. A grandmother’s chest, restored

I kept every original fitting and rebuilt only what had split.

  3. A table for ten

Solid walnut, made to the size of one family’s Friday lunch.

  4. A wall of oak

A built-in wardrobe with no handles, only the grain.

What I make

  • Carved doors Front doors and majlis doors, drawn with you and carved by hand.
  • Restoration Old chests, doors and frames brought back without losing their age.
  • Furniture to order Tables, wardrobes and shelves made to fit one room.
Yousef Al Hinai Woodworker

My father made doors, and I learned on his offcuts. Today I work alone, so every piece that leaves the workshop has been through my hands, from the first plank to the last coat of oil.
