What goes on a newborn invitation

Every invitation asks for the details below. You can skip the optional ones.

  • The baby's name.
  • The date, and the time it starts.
  • The place, and a Google Maps link so nobody gets lost.
  • A welcome message in your own words.
  • A few lines about the baby's arrival. This comes with Signature and above.
  • Photographs, up to thirty. This comes with Signature and above.

Celebrating with a gathering, such as a welcome party or a naming feast? Put its date, time and place on the invitation, and send it to the guests you are inviting.

When to send it

Send it a week or two ahead. A new baby changes plans quickly, and because every link shows the latest version you can move the time without writing to everyone again.
